El objetivo de esta investigación es presentar una adaptaciòn y validación en población española de la Escala de expectativa de los hijos adolescentes sobre la reacción de sus padres frente al comportamiento prosocial y antisocial,desarrollado por Wyatt y Carlo (2002). La muestra estuvo compuesta por 631 adolescentes españoles de entre 15 y 18 años de edad,de ambos sexos, de clase media. Sweet taste of prosocial status signaling: When eating organic foods makes you happy and hopeful.

As the current research suggests that there are links between prosocial acts and status signaling (including sustainable consumer choices), we empirically study (with three experiments) whether food consumers go green to be seen. First, we examine how activating a motive for status influences prosocial organic food preferences. Then, we examine how the social visibility of the choice (private vs. public) affects these preferences. We found that when consumers' desire for status was elicited, they preferred organic food products significantly over their nonorganic counterparts; making the choice situation visible created the same effect. AbstractAggressive behavior in school is an ongoing concern, with the current focus mostly on specific manifestations such as bullying and extreme violence. Children spend a substantial amount of time in school, but their behaviors in the school setting tend to be less well characterized than in the home setting. The containment measures taken because of the COVID-19 pandemic have had consequences on human thought and behaviour. The purpose of this study is to contrast an explanatory model of prosocial behaviours during confinement by analysing different variables involved. The study sample was made up of 946 participants (70.9% female) and had an average age of 35.25 (SD = 13.98). Participants completed a series of online questionnaires. Relació entre esports d’equip i empatia en l’adolescència

L’empatia és la capacitat de posar-se en el lloc d’un altre individu i interpretar la realitat des del seu punt de vista. Aquest estudi es va centrar a analitzar les diferències existents entre practicants d’esports d’equip i esports individuals i entre homes i dones en empatia. La mostra va estar composta per 97 adolescents federats més d’un any, dels quals 43 eren dones i 54 eren homes. 25 practicaven esport individual i 72 algun esport d’equip. Els resultats obtinguts en l’escala d’empatia de Baron-Cohen –EQ–, han mostrat que els practicants d’esports d’equip són més empàtics que els d’esports individuals, i que les dones ho són més que els homes. Flexible switching of feedback control mechanisms allows for learning of different task dynamics.

To produce skilled movements, the brain flexibly adapts to different task requirements and movement contexts. Two core abilities underlie this flexibility. First, depending on the task, the motor system must rapidly switch the way it produces motor commands and how it corrects movements online, i.e. it switches between different (feedback) control policies. Second, it must also adapt to environmental changes for different tasks separately. Here we show these two abilities are related. In a bimanual movement task, we show that participants can switch on a movement-by-movement basis between two feedback control policies, depending only on a static visual cue. Two systems of maintenance in verbal working memory: evidence from the word length effect.

The extended time-based resource-sharing (TBRS) model suggested a working memory architecture in which an executive loop and a phonological loop could both support the maintenance of verbal information. The consequence of such a framework is that phonological effects known to impact the maintenance of verbal information, like the word length effect (WLE), should depend on the use of the phonological loop, but should disappear under the maintenance by the executive loop. An integrated model of condom use in Sub-Saharan African youth: A meta-analysis.

Objective: We tested an integrated social–cognitive model derived from multiple theories of the determinants of young people's condom use in Sub-Saharan Africa. The model comprised seven social–cognitive antecedents of condom use: Attitudes, norms, control, risk perceptions, barriers, intentions, and previous condom use. Method: We conducted a systematic search of studies including effects between at least one model construct and intended or actual condom use in young people from sub-Saharan African countries.
